SYLVIE'S FABULOUS STEP BY STEP TAG FAN....

Tonight I am going to show you this glorious tag make by Sylvie, and then follow up with her step by steps.  Loving everything about this - all very creative and very clever - and another inspiring tag delight on the theme of 'Tag You're It', which is our current Challenge title.  Check out the Challenge details and entries so far HERE.

Wish I could make the image bigger - but as I can't here are some lovely detail shots.....

And this is how Sylvie went about making her delightful tag fan...

She used CI Printed and Shabby Tags....

And cut them into triangle shapes....
Stamp two of the 'Shabby' tags - with CI-409 and Distress Ink in Shaded Lilac....

Attach all the tags together on the back using masking tape, and pop eyelets as shown on each tag to
thread together with a ribbon
Ink small doilies with Distress Inks, and attach as shown....

Stamp CI-410 twice onto an acetate sheet in Archival Black ink....

Colour the images with inks and cut out....

And use a round MDF heart frame to decorate the centre of the fan and adhere the flowers to the top.....

Add lace and die cuts using the Elegant Swirl and the Floral Branch, and here is the gorgeous finished tag fan again.....

Lots more still to come,

WE CHALLENGE YOU IN JUNE TO PLAY 'TAG YOU'RE IT' ALONG WITH US......

Emailed entry by Ruth..

Yes its Challenge time again everyone, and this time the June Challenge is in the very capable hands of Helen Chilton, who has chosen the theme for us, which is (drum roll) 'Tag You're It'.  Based loosely on a children's playground game this theme gives you mountains of scope to do your own thing - as long as something within your entry vaguely resembles a tag!!  So keep it simple or make it complicated the choice is yours, but we will be truly delighted if you could play along.

Here are the usual guidelines:

CHALLENGE GUIDELINES

To enter this month's Crafty Individuals Challenge please put together your chosen project, which must include at least one Crafty Individuals product please, then post your Challenge project on your Blog, before the end of the month, and include a link back to this Blog.  Leave a link in the URL box displayed in this post to take us directly to your Challenge project, which will then appear on this Blog as a thumbnail image - so we can all see your wonderful arty work.

At the end of the month Helen will set about choosing five lucky participants, each of whom will win a CI rubber stamp of their choice, and don't forget that as per usual, once you have linked in your creation, you can also claim a lovely 25% discount code to use on anything you purchase from the CI Website, which will be valid until the 10th of July.

Go for it, and enjoy the challenge x

...

As always we look forward to seeing your entries - you will be in with a chance of winning a free stamp, and you will also be able to obtain a cool 25% CI web discount.  When you have linked in your entry please email us at info@craftyindividuals.co.uk to obtain your special code, and then go shopping!

I have lots of taggy projects by Helen to share this month, and lots more by the team, including a couple of delightful step by steps.  However for tonight I will show you just some of Helen's makes to get your crafty thoughts started...

The three pretty samples above use CI-395 - 'Build a Meadow' again showing what a very versatile stamp collection this is, plus the love sentiment from CI-402 also makes an appearance.

Then they are followed by the lovely turtle (below) - I adore this tag! - from the Alice Palace collection..

Plus 'Love Lovely Life' also from Alice, in a clean and simple format ...

Finally Helen shows us a seasidey tag featuring CI-344 'Seagull Adventure'..

So there are no excuses allowed this month for not joining in, and we can't wait to see your tag linked in at the top of this post.

Back soon,

TRY 'BUILDING A MEADOW' USING CI-395.....

This post is all about CI-395, 'Build a Meadow', The Craft Barn's Extravaganza, and Helen Chilton's demos, particularly on Sunday, 8th June!!

Unfortunately we won't be there this year - Malcolm isn't quite up to the long drive down to the other end of the country yet because of his eyesight, but we are delighted that Helen Chilton will be demoing the tremendous possibilities when using one stamp set in particular - namely CI-395.  When Helen said this would be what she was doing this year, I had to have a play too.  So here we are with lots of images, which will hopefully inspire you to use this stamp, and also to visit The Extravaganza in June, as it promises to be a load of fun and a feast for the eyes.  Do let me know what you think of the samples, and also if you have plans to be there.  So sorry to miss it this time!

Here we go....

By Helen...

Then by moi (have also used the new masks - Birds in Flight, and Leafy Branches, now on the website, in some of these, plus two of the newest stamps CI-410 and CI-409 !)....

p.s. We have finally worked out how to get the 'New Products' button to work on the website homepage - yay!, please try it out HERE (far middle right) (only took a year and a half!!)

NEW BITS AND BOBS....

Thank you for leaving a comment on my last post, about the new stamps and other postings - always very much appreciated!  So pleased to hear you are enjoying the recently released images, and Lynne has already been working with a couple of the new issue, and I adore her makes - firstly this very pretty little hanging using CI-411, A Garden of Flowers (with a little help from CI-410 too)....

And then this gorgeous card made with the 'Fresh Fish Daily' angling stamp CI-412 - superb!!

How adorable are those little hanging fishes in fabric (Lynne mounted them on card and then curled the card a little to give them a dimensional look).  A great card, and how lovely it would be as a make for the gents who enjoy fishing in your lives.

I have been playing around with pop up cards for a magazine project recently (more info on that soon), and here is a card that was a bit of a spare at the time - but I do like that little bird on a teapot, from CI-391, 'Teatime Delights', as it seemed to work perfectly with the background paper from our Springtime Book.  A simple pop up card with only one 'post' in the middle, but still effective, fun to make and fun to receive...

And my final image for tonight is by Ginger, and uses CI-401, the very fashionable
'Ladies who Latte' as the main image....

If you make projects with Crafty Individuals products and happen to post them on your blog, do let us know so that I can pop over and leave a comment please.

Have a lovely and hopefully crafty weekend folks,

Jean x

NEW RUBBER STAMPS, NEW PROJECTS FROM OLDER STAMPS, AND A STEP BY STEP....

Gosh its already 9.40pm and I meant to have this post up and finished before now, and here I am just starting it!  We've had a lovely day in the sunshine today with a trip to Saltburn by the Sea, and then to see the bluebells, part of the way up to Roseberry Topping.  They were delightful, and I will pop a little piccie of Monty Moodle amongst the bluebells at the end of this post.  He is certainly a tired little dog tonight, having been out sniffing about and enjoying the sunshine all day, during our travels.  And he is now fast asleep here by my side.

We had a new release of stamps a few days ago, and I will give you a quick visual run through of those before I move on to some projects, and a step by step, from the ladies...

You will find all of the above lovelies on our website HERE.

The following images are from Daniele, Gio and Joanna, and feature stamps from our previous release...

All gorgeous little works of art, I'm sure you will agree!

Then I have some great cards by Effie - very stylish indeed....

All featuring the 'Hello' telephone from CI-403.

Finally I have a stunning step by step from Sylvie - this is the project...

And here are the steps in lovely clear photographs...

Sylvie used the following to make her project:

CI-405
CI-122
CI-407
Oblong Decromount
Floral Grid Mask

Thanks all, and hope you have enjoyed the display tonight.  Please leave a comment if you can.

Jean, and Monty Moodle x
