SO VERY EXCITING - NEW ISSUE CRAFT STAMPER OUT NOW!

Several years ago I used to teach in a local art college, and was in awe of one of the other teachers there who wrote projects for craft magazines - her subject was textiles.  I thought at the time that if I could ever reach the same lofty heights that I would be a totally fulfilled woman!  Well that time has come as not only have I had projects in Craft Stamper over recent times - but my most recent project has actually MADE THE FRONT COVER - 'REALLY TWEET'.  How truly amazingly cool is that?  I am just completely delighted!  Thanks Katy and crew. (The magazine will be for sale on the CI WEBSITE very soon, the little birdhouses are in the MUST-HAVE'S SECTION right now, and you will find the bird stamp ON THIS WEB PAGE).

Marvellous!

To Take Us Into The Weekend:

I have a few more images of projects to show you tonight.  Isa has created some very pretty little dominoes as a project for The Craft Barn using our stamps, you will find instructions as to how to make these delights here on the Craft Barn Blog.

Must get that Stampbord out again - sooo lovely!

The next piccy is of a beautiful present given to me by Janet - a very good crafting friend of mine (who I see has also just posted some new projects - how fab is that butterfly box - go take a look!)

Anyway I digress - back to the image above.  The present (utilising our Seaside Background book) is just a great idea - why didn't I think of it?  It features a sticky note pad (very useful), and a little calendar (just as useful), all ready to hang on the wall.  All my friends might be getting one of these next Christmas; and I've got all year to get them made!  This one currently sits in the CI office.  Thanks Janet.

Finally tonight an image sent to us by Elaine using our Abbeys "Element" stamp CI-286.  And we looove it!  Elaine has added her own images as well to the project to give it that personal touch.

Have a great weekend all - hope you see some sunshine wherever you are!

A Few More Images to Show You!

Thank you again for the continuing lovely comments about our new blog, and Malcolm is certainly enjoying updating me on how many followers I have on an hourly?! basis.

I wanted to share a few more images with you for inspiration.  Firstly a couple of cards, made with the new stamps again, this time by the lovely Helen Chilton, who always does a brilliant job!  You can find the latest CI stamps she has used here and here.  Helen's blog gives you some more info on what she used to create the projects:

Now I want to show you some more projects by the very inventive and creative, altered art artist -  Zuzu who has made some amazing projects using CI stuff recently.  A few of which I am going to insert for you below:

I looove her colourful  items which you can also find for sale on her page here at Folksy where I found the following just before Christmas and couldn't resist buying.  I then had a go at making them and surprised a few friends with the little treats as presents - you'll need to get out the Melt Pot for these to add a little faux soldering along the edges:

Last, but not least, we have a couple of very pretty little things by lovely Lucy, who always does a great job for us - thanks Lucy:

Finally for today I want to show you a peek of a couple of things we are working on at the moment which I hope you will enjoy.  We have lots of new items in the pipeline, and although they might not be available for a little while it will give a little taste.  We are working on new Glossy Sheets - taster below (about time too!), new prints for the Art Shop - taster below, new stamps (of course), new mini books, and new softly printed large tags (just great for adding your own special finishing touches, to pop on your projects).

That's all for today folks, thanks for checking us out.

WOW - THANKS SO VERY MUCH FOR ALL THE LOVELY COMMENTS

What lovely people you all are out there in blogger land.  So many very kind comments and lots of support.  I've read every one and I can't thank you all enough!  And so many followers so soon too. Maybe I'll be hooked on this blogging lark very quickly - just need to keep up with the crafting side too so that I have something new to post on a regular basis as well.

Some of you have suggested that we run some challenges through the blog - which is a very good idea.  I'll do some thinking on that one - so watch this space!

Today I want to share a few of Isabelle's recent projects with you using our products:  http://isabelle-norris.blogspot.com.  Isa is a regular contributor to Craft Stamper magazine, and makes beautiful crafty creations, examples as follows:

How gorgeous are they?  Thanks Isa.  You must check out her blog, where you will find some more info on the projects (if you haven't done so already).

Well must get back to some work now as evenings are my prime designing time.  Have to keep those new stamp images coming, and believe me I have a head full of new ideas at the moment I'm pleased to say.  Just about finished a nice little design featuring a peacock and will be looking forward to sharing it with you in a few weeks time.

Thanks again,
Jean x

Hello Friends and Crafters and Welcome to Crafty Individuals New Blog

Well its hard to believe (for me at least) that I have finally got around to setting up a blog for us here at Crafty Individuals.  I love reading crafty blogs and of course admiring the beautiful creations, but have had a reluctance to have a go myself.  Probably because it takes me a long time these days to get to grips with learning new stuff (must be an age thing!?!).  Anyway I'm right up for it now and very excited I have to say.  Hope you will enjoy the experience too.

My first posting of craft projects is with big thanks to Sue Abbott, over at Paper Paradise blog, who inspired me to make the following two cards using our latest stamps.  I don't always get enough time to 'play' immediately with our new stuff, but had to have a go after seeing Sue's lovely creations.

Anyway here they are, firstly a card for a man, using elements stamps CI-305, CI-304, CI-239, and CI-255 in the background.  And secondly a birthday card for a lady?, using individual stamp CI-302, elements stamps CI-304, CI-256, and CI-293 in the background.  Hope you like them.

And here are the lovely cards Sue recently made with our new stamps and stuff - my inspiration! (her blog link is to the right)

Sue currently teaches workshops at Grimsby Crafts, which has recently been taken over by a new owner - Lynn.

Back again soon,
Jean x
