AND THE FIRST COMMENT..ER OUT OF THE HAT IS ......

SALLY H .... Well done Sally!!  Hip Hip Hooray for Sally - our Blog Candy winner as randomly picked today.  Please email us at info@craftyindividuals.co.uk Sally, with your address, to claim your lovely prize.  I will be Facebooking the other lucky winner soon!!

Thank you to everyone who left comments (all 190 of you) - someone has to win each time, so don't be despondent if it isn't you this time - your chance may well come in the future!

However we have decided to have a bit of a discount session on the website - well a lot of a discount actually - as a kind of 'Runners Up' prize for our readers for those who leave comments, and for those of you on our mailing list too - and we have come up with a huge 25% off discount code for you to use!  The code must be used before the end of this month, and will give you a whopping quarter discount on your total bill, before postage.  We don't do this kind of thing very often - so please take advantage whilst you can at www.craftyindividuals.co.uk

The important code to pop in after placing your order is:

CI-SUNNYSURPRISE25

And don't forget its only valid until 31st July!

.........

I now have a little bit of colour to show you and add to this post tonight.  I recently had a session with my regular class ladies, where we tore strips of coloured papers, bits of lace, and handmade papers to make little 'landscapes'.  These are easy to do, effective, and can be given that touch of reality by adding a little stamping too.  The three below were made by three of my ladies:

Then in our last class, before the summer break, we took the technique a step further and experimented with seaside layering - firstly to create a card (I got the seahorse and bubbles idea from entries in our last Challenge), and then secondly for the base of one of those lovely Tando rowing boats - these are adorable and would look great hung in a bathroom ..

If you would like to have a go at this technique yourself - begin by cutting yourself an oblong of card for the base, then tear your chosen pieces of paper into strips of the appropriate size to lay across the card oblong.  Start glueing your strips down from the top of your card oblong, working down to the bottom (this way the torn edges remain visible), then add bits of lace trim, fabric, lacey papers and stamping over the top, to turn your piece into a pretty picture.  The little seahorse stamp I used is from CI-272, and the gorgeous beach babe adorning that boat is from CI-278.

That's it for tonight folks - don't forget to use your discount code soon!

AN ASSORTMENT OF YUMMY BITS ...

Now the June Challenge 'winners' have been chosen (and I hope you have all picked a stamp as your 'prize') I am back with some more yummy bits to show you from the team.  The Challenges are held bi-monthly these days, so the next one will be for August, and details will be available from the beginning of the month.  I think it is also high time we put some more blog candy together for you, so please watch this space, as well as our Facebook page which you will find HERE (lots of 'likes' always appreciated folks!).

But now on with the yummies.  First of all some very pretty things made by Gio ..

Loving this miniature altered umbrella -

And these little bead boxes -

The seaside stamps in the top project are from CI-272 - Seaside Treasures, and the teapot image on top of the bead boxes is from CI-391- Teatime Delights.

Gio has also sent over images for some other great ideas such as altered watch straps -

(Such cute little shrink plastic seahorses!)

And a card -

Plus a teabag box -

A perfect fit!

And some delectable fabric cupcakes, in a little box -

Sylvie has altered a chopping board - which now looks amazing!!

Lots of lovely tulips here from CI-388 - Tiptoe through the Tulips which certainly reminds us that even the collage stamps can be used in lots of ways, other than the obvious straightforward whole image stamping.

Daniele has been making some simply gorgeous cards -

Too many CI products here to link to I think - but of course you will find just about everything you need on our website at www.craftyindividuals.co.uk.  Stunning colour schemes Daniele!

I have a few little images of my own to finish with, starting with a necklace decorated with one of Malcolm's lovely tree images cut from the A4 Matt Sheet (I am wearing this a lot at the moment)

A Fairy box, using CI-132, plus the mask - Leafy Border stencilled around the edges -

And a teeny tiny tag using part of the Beautiful Butterflies Panel Mask -

I have rattled through lots of stuff tonight, but still have much more to share next time with images from Lynne, and Isabelle and more to come.  And then of course we will have Blog Candy too!

Finally I have a lovely image sent over by Pam Davies recently, using our Gilded Cage die -

Thanks to all, and of course thanks to you for tuning in!

Enjoy the sunshine,

JUNE CHALLENGE RESULTS ...

We have now returned from our little holiday in Northumberland, and very relaxing it was too. The weather was kind on the whole, and the beaches and fishing villages there are absolutely delightful. Monty Moodle adores the sand, and the sea, and especially chasing seagulls!  Hasn't yet realised there is no chance of him catching up with one, but the chase is fun, fun, fun!

Meanwhile Sylvie has kindly chosen 5 'winners' for us from the June Challenge entries which you can view HERE.  As always the standard of entries was very high, and the task very difficult.  However the chosen ones this time are listed below, and we would be delighted if the ladies mentioned would email us with their addresses and choice of stamp to info@craftyindividuals.co.uk

Suzanne is a winner, with this very summery and sandy card design ..

Myra is our next winner with a very detailed and fun project within an altered box..

Followed by Coco with this very colourful tissue box holder ..

And Sally with her splish, splash seahorse card ..

Ending with Avril and her lovely wall hanging ..

Thanks to everyone who took the time to make a project and join in - you make the display look so very delightful - you wonderful folk!

Bye, bye,

Jean x
