MANY THANKS....

Many thanks to the lovelies who leave comments regularly and some occasionally, and for the great Christmas wishes, and to the very kind folk who send us their beautiful handmade cards throughout the year.  Hope you, and all our lovely customers and blog readers had a merry Christmas, and will go on to have a great New Year celebration and a fabulous 2016 when it arrives! To Sandy Claus who inquired about the Santa in a bottle - please email Helen at th.chilton@ntlworld.com for instructions on how it was made, as we don't have a tutorial as such!

We are looking forward to bringing out new designs and adding goodies to our website throughout 2016, and hope you will continue to like what you see and buy our products when appropriate.  I do have a few more makes with a festive flavour left to show you, so will blog them below before the year ends.

A couple of pretty cards by Sylvie....

Marvellous makes by Coco.....

A lovely card made by for us by Lesley of Chocolate Baroque (using our papers and their stamps)....

And to finish a very beautiful card made by Flo, which is the perfect sentiment and wish to leave you with tonight....

Very best wishes, and New Year hugs, and love to you all,

Jean, Malcolm and Monty dog x

IT'S NEARLY CHRISTMAS......

It's very nearly Christmastime, so I have been gathering together the last of the Christmassy makes by the team, to pop on our blog before the big day itself is upon us.  It has been almost warm here lately, and very unseasonal weather generally - great for dog walking and enjoying the great outdoors though, and we had a lovely day in Whitby today (Monty dog loves the sand and those beach walks).

My first makes tonight are from Coco.....

.... who has used CI-369 and CI-424, along with the doilies from CI-426 so beautifully in her creations.

Florence shared three more festive cards with us.....

..... using CI-327, CI-136,  CI-270 and CI-446.

Here is a lovely card by Joanna, featuring one of the images from our Christmas book....

Plus some very attractive cards by Sylvie .......

I'm particularly loving the New Year cards featuring the owl and the robin (from the Alice Palace stamp collection), and the wording from CI-438.

My final make tonight is this lovely idea and Santa in a bottle decoration by Helen - so sweet....

Many thanks for joining us here, and for all your encouraging comments again all year.  Have a lovely week ahead..

Festive hugs,

Jean x

TREES....

Just recovering from a luscious Sunday Lunch out in Yarm this afternoon.  Still very full and now very sleepy - but time still for a quick blog post, and I think I will concentrate on tree images this evening.  As you know I have been playing around with tree stamps a lot recently, and I will also add some other makes about trees from the team.

Mine are bright and full of colour....

The assorted trees are stamped on tissue paper which was then applied to painted canvas, and then stitched with my old Singer sewing machine (love doing these).  Trees from CI-209, and CI-429.

Helen Chilton has been playing with the same trees and with reflections.  She did a bit of a step by step for us which I will upload below.  I don't think you need the wording really as the images are descriptive enough in themselves.....

The reflections aren't strictly accurate, but certainly give great effect!!  Here are a couple more in different colourways.....

Loving the last one in particular - very moody!

I also used trees on the following colourful blocks....

I have had great fun experimenting with paint and stencils, trees, tissue, and foils!

What else can I find featuring trees? A Christmas card from Sylvie....

 And another by Lynne....

And another by Coco (with a little Christmas tree).....

Then a journal page by Coco.....

Another card by Flo....

Plus this very pretty card by Sylvie, and its upside down trees, also with an accompanying step by step.....

Some of the other stamps appearing in the above are from CI-257, CI-282 and CI-399

Phew that's a lot of images I uploaded.  Hope you enjoyed them!

Lots more to come,

Back soon,

Jean x
