TIMELESS ELEGANCE....

Our September Challenge begins soon, so this is a quick little post to get you in the mood!!  Hope lots of you can join in with us, and the following makes are a perfect 'taster' to encourage you to check back again next week for all the relevant details.

Our lovely Gio had a recent stamp release with us - CI-441 'Elegance is Timeless', and here are a group of beautiful makes featuring this very lovely stamp.

Flo has been very creative with the image, giving this beauty lots of different looks....

Other CI stamps appearing above include CI-182, CI-271 and CI-161.

Effie gave her a completely different 'regal' look as part of a journal page.....

(In the background you can see parts of our great new large stamp CI-443).

Gio herself has also had fun with her own design....

Amazing makes and lots of looks achieved with just one stamp!

Back again very soon,

Bye for now,

LOTS OF LOVE...

We've had thunder and lightning, and its been raining cats and dogs here!  However its settled down a bit now thanks goodness, as Monty Moodle doesn't seem to like the loud bangs (or when it rains cats and dogs either, and who could blame him)!  This is a quick post as its got quite late now, but I just wanted to let you know that we are still here, and check in with you before its time for the start of our September Challenge (where has this year gone so far?!).

As always I have lovely items of eye candy for you, starting with this nice and bright beauty from Effie.....

....

.... made with our big beauty of a background stamp CI-443.

Flo and Helen have been playing nicely with the adorable owlet babies from CI-442.....

....including clever backgrounds using CI-436 and CI-395, and the feather from CI-397 also makes a pretty appearance.

....And Sylvie has created a so cool make using CI-439,  CI-443, and the border from CI-441 ....

....plus she has included a little step by step too, just for you....

To finish off I have another beautiful make by Sylvie - lots going on in this one - wow!!!

The forecast is for a lovely sunny day tomorrow - so lets hope it indeed comes our way, in glorious technicolour, just as it is in the scene above!

Bye for now,

VERY CREATIVE PEOPLE.....

There are indeed some very creative people in the world!  Here are three people who have shared their lovely work with us recently....

A lady called Carol, in Australia, makes these beauties using our couples stamps CI-402 and CI-439.  She creates her own stunning backgrounds.....

I adore them all!

Lesley, a friend of ours who is now the proud owner of Chocolate Baroque, made this delightful card using a Chocolate Baroque bird stamp and a sheet from our new 'Weekend in Seville' Background Book.....

So pretty....
Artist's Tip: Lesley used a white sticky label to stamp the bird's body, and then coloured with coloured pencils - what a good idea!

A lady called Jane Castle made this fabulous card using our new XL Floral Festival background stamp....

It has a lovely soft oriental look about it on this card - so beautiful!

Next I want to tell you that our very own super talented Gio has made a new YouTube video showing us how to colour a face perfectly with coloured pencils.  Loving this!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wViruCefxi8&feature=youtu.be  Gio is using her own stamp designs which you will find HERE.

I have some images by Gio to show you using CI-441...

So do take a look at that very helpful video!

Here is another superb make by Gio, with steps, to create a very decorative little ornament.....

1-Glue some metallic charms on the birdhouse roof with embossing paste or heavy gel medium
2-Glue some lace on the little opening
3-Glue the mini image from the glossy A4 sheet 'Domino'
4-Paint with black acrylic paint
5-Highlight the texture with metallic acrylic paints. Stamp on 2 little strips of book pages the sentiment from the CI-256 rubber stamp plate and glue them to the side of the birdhouse. Add embellishments.

..... And the finished article....

Wow!

Back soon with more,

Jean x

WINNERS AND LOTS OF ADORABLE TEDDY MAKES....

Hi All,
Its time to give you Florence's five lucky 'winners' of the 'Face Value' Challenge for July, and here they are along with Flo's accompanying comments...

In no particular order:

Jools Robertson No 19...
http://joolsrobertson.blogspot.co.uk/2015/07/crafty-individuals-faces-value-challenge.html
Loved the colours Jools used and how she stamped onto the acetate.  It gave the impression of rabbits in the moonlight. Not only is it a beautiful project but would also make a wonderful gift.

Jane Castle No 3...
http://castlekellycrafts.blogspot.co.uk/2015/07/the-embroidery-bug.html
Love the combination of stamping and sewing.

Nikola No 6...
http://zuzanadulovic.blogspot.sk/2015/07/crafty-individuals-challenge.html
Loved the combination of stamps that Nikola used to create a unique card.  Especially the border of the town house which was a really clever idea.

Alison Rock emailed entry...
Loved the French shabby chic look that Alison created with the soft colors she used and the design of her card.

Pearshaped Chris No 9...
http://pearshapedcrafting.blogspot.co.uk/2015/07/paris-journal-page-and-more.html
Chris created a fabulous mixed media page.  Loved how she combined the stamping with all of the different elements on her page.  It was also great to read Chris' post and the inspiration behind her project.

Thanks again to all who linked in their beauties, Florence certainly found it difficult to choose just five!  There will be another challenge in September, and meanwhile if the five above could email us at info@craftyindividuals.co.uk with their address and choice of stamp, we will post out asap.

For the second half of this post I am going to feature teddy makes.  We recently released a sooo cute new stamp of vintage teddy bears CI-440, Two Teds, and our teamies, bless them, have been beautifully busy and creative with this stamp.....

Joanna has made two cards - one for a girl and one for a boy - full of divine gorgeousness....

Joanna has also used the wording from another useful new stamp set CI-438.

Effie had a similar idea with the wording involved - a card and a present for a new baby girl, so pretty in pink...

Effie also used the doilies from CI-426.

Daniele has also made a beautiful card with the two teds....

..... plus flowers from CI-206.

And Florence has made three different glorious ted cards...

....which also feature the new XL background stamp CI-443 - in beautiful colour, plus CI-389 and CI-354, and CI-385.

Lynne has also made a fabulous card with the teds, for a friend, followed by detail images.....

Loving all of those,
Back soon with more great makes,

Jean x
