Hi Folks
We are soooo excited as we have some new 'team' members to introduce to you. Due to retirements it was time to invite some amazing new crafty ladies into the CI fold. I am going to show you a couple of the new pieces by two of the ladies tonight - and we have truly gone cosmopolitan indeed. We have the lovely Giovanna from Italy, and you can find her blog at http://giogioscrap.blogspot.co.uk/. Gio has made a delicious, fun packed, working clock for us as her first 'official' project, although she often works with CI products, and is also a team member on the The Craft Barn Blog.
And some close-ups:
The lovely ladies here can be found on our Elements plate CI-323, and the butterflies and clock faces are from CI-347 & CI-353.
Our other lady this evening is Sylvie (Nefertiti) from France, and you can find her blog at http://scrapcool.over-blog.com/. Sylvie again often works with CI products, and has been very busy working on an inspirational Challenge project for us for September, and tonight I am going to just give you a little sneaky peak of what is in store for you: -
And -
Thank you to Gio and Sylvie - looking forward to seeing more work from you both! And do check back with us folks for more details about the September Challenge at the beginning of next month.
The other very exciting news of the moment is our introduction of some wonderful craft cutting dies. We have had a few designs on our site recently, and you liked them! We then made a decision to get our dies made in America, so that we could offer you the best of the best quality thin metal dies, with the sort of slippery teflon style coating that makes using small detailed dies easy and truly delightful. We picked four classic designs to begin with and here they are:
You will find all these lovely dies on our website pages HERE. We would love to know what you think about them?!
I have been busily enjoying playing with them, and have a few little projects I can show you tonight!
As well as the 'In a Gilded Cage' die I used the two butterfly masks we recently released in the background, plus ferns and butterflies from two of our Elements Plates to embellish further. I also added some vintage lace from my stash.
Then I have another card to show you again using the bird cage die, plus the Victoria Corner die. Here I cut the bird from the die image, and used it on the cage instead. It is fun to play around with the dies - chop bits off, and use in different ways.
On this card I also used the birdcage mask in the background, which gave a rather nice shadowy effect.
Finally this evening I made a little framed affair. I used a Tando Square Frame, one of our new Tree Images from the Matt A4 Sheet, the birdcage die and the Victoria and Albert swirl.
Thanks to all who take the time to leave a kind comment - always much read and appreciated. Hope you enjoyed our new team members work and the new dies.
Bye for now,
Jean x

Congratulations Jean on developing the die range - more delicious and your blog post today is beautiful.
Hurrah! I know Gio's work and am an avid follower of her blog, so it's great to see her here too; and I look forward to finding out more about Sylvie's crafting. Meantime - very lovely dies, and beautiful birdcage cards - the first bluey-greeny one is my favourite, I think!
