LOVELY COLOURS FOR A SUNNY DAY...

We eventually managed to get our little break, although Malcolm had a little hospital stay with stomach problems just before.  We are still waiting to find out what that was all about as he is waiting for a scan.  We thoroughly enjoyed our Northumberland mini holiday though as he was feeling a lot better.  He worked his magic and took this rather nice view of the sea....

We also had a day trip up to Edinburgh to see a big exhibition of the work of my favourite artist, Victoria Crowe.  Here are a couple of snippets of tiny bits of a couple of her paintings, just taken on my phone.  Love her work....

Do visit if you get a chance!

Now back to butterflies, and I have a lovely selection of very colourful makes to show you this evening by our lovely teamie ladies.  This beauty by Gerrina..

... And this is a portion of the beautiful canvas Lesley created on the show with tissue and a canvas board...

The next two scrummy makes are by Dora...

Followed by beauties from Sylvie..

Sandra...

And Flo...

What a lovely variety, all made with butterfly stamps from CI-517 to CI-521!

GREAT TEAMIE MAKES....

Thanks for the sweet comments on my last blog post, we love to read them all, and thanks for all the facebook likes and comments on my Journal cover, they were phenomenal!  What a lovely lot you are out there.  We are having a few days break next week, so I've put together an assortment of lovely teamie makes for a little post beforehand.  And without further ado here they are.....

A flutterby beauty by lovely Helen.....

Sandra has used the same stamp CI-520 in totally different colours - what a great background - CI-182 I believe, and more involved here!..

And the next fabby make is by Dora, same stamp again - lovely sharp greens going on here.....

Two cards by two teamies follow, the first lovely by Gerrina....

The second with the same stamp is by me, both sport lovely washi tape....

Followed by the same stamp - CI-517 - used on a journal page by clever Chris...

My final three beauties are by Sylvie, then Sarah....

....And finally Flo, so very pretty, all of these....

The first two makes feature CI-393, and Flo's CI-519.

Thank you all - now which one shall I pop on Facebook??

Back soon,

p.s. You may have noticed that I haven't listed Happy Stampers at Port Sunlight as a show we are visiting this time around.  As it is quite a hike for us and means staying over too, sowe have decided to stay a little closer to home and share a stand with Chocolate Baroque again but at Harrogate 'Stamperama', just for a change.  Hope to see you there in November?!

A MIXTURE OF GOOD STUFF TONIGHT....

Hi Folks

It's high time I wrote a blog post, and I need to thank you all for supporting our recent Hochanda shows.  The butterfly extravaganza shows were very busy, and convinced us you all love butterflies!  We had a great time and many thanks to Lesley Wharton for her fabulous demos too, she is such a good pal (and it was her birthday you may have noticed, lol!).

So I have a bit of a mix up tonight to show you.  Some samples from the butterfly shows as well as others featuring older stamps.  I popped this tag by Sylvie on Facebook yesterday, and you liked it!  Loving the mixture of stamps she used such as the new one CI-518, which is up on the website now, together with CI-498.  Completely different stamps but they look great together don't they?...

And here is another beauty by Sylvie in a completely different colour scheme featuring the butterfly stamp from a previous show CI-517.  Love it!..

Whilst looking at fabby stuff by Sylvie I also have these makes to show you.  A great wedding card - nice idea to use the two birds from CI-509, they work so well!..

I also love this little gem using CI-385..

Very nice selection Sylvie, and thanks.

I have just taken quick photos of my latest journal pages, and journal cover, that I worked on during the shows using the new butterfly stamp CI-520, and CI-518 and more.  Here is the decorated cover...

Plus the two latest pages...

Great fun to do and I'm really enjoying playing with my journal generally, and I've even started another where I intend to mostly concentrate on paint effect backgrounds, together with stamping too of course.  You will have to wait until the next Hochanda shows at the beginning of October to see that one though, lol.

My final image is of two cards by teamie Daniele, where she cleverly used two recent stamps as backgrounds to use with some of our mini image books.  CI-514 and CI-516.  Great stuff!

Lots more to come,
Back soon,
Jean x
