CI HAPPENINGS.....

Hello Peeps

Monday morning will see Lesley and I heading down to Peterborough to the Hochanda studios.  Chocolate Baroque and Crafty Individuals both have shows on Tuesday, 1st May.  Lesley's first show is at 8am, then 2pm, and ours is at 10am.  Our teamies have surpassed themselves this time, and the samples for our show are truly delightful.  We will have some brand new stamps releasing on the show too, plus some simply stunning new background papers to accompany them, all with the 'Wow' factor!

After this we will be getting everything together for the Port Sunlight Happy Stampers show.  Will you be there on the 12th May?  We are in a different position this time - change is good - you will find us on the right hand side of the main hall next to Chocolate Baroque, with whom we are sharing a large stand.  Do join us if you can, providing you've got your ticket, of course.

Last weekend Lesley, David, Malcolm, Judith, myself and 18 lovely ladies got ourselves together in a local hotel for a very creative weekend.  A good time was had by all we believe.  Our sample makes are here below followed by some photos taken at the occasion.

Firstly here are all the ladies, ourselves, and lovely little Monty dog, who also likes to be in on the action..

Our sample makes 'All things grow with love' and 'Always follow your dreams'...

Here is Lesley holding the CB sample make, mid explanation...

....and me holding ours, mid explanation...

Here are some of the other photos taken by our excellent 'in house' photographer Malcolm, during the weekend. Firstly some of our lovely participants, followed by some fabulous makes in progress....

Thank you to everyone involved for making the weekend so special, and thank you too for popping on by today!

Back soon,

LOTS ON THE HORIZON...

We at Crafty Individuals are in full swing preparing for a busy few weeks ahead.  This weekend we have a weekend workshop with 20 ladies in a local hotel, alongside Chocolate Baroque - very exciting!!  If you are one of our attending ladies we can't wait to meet you on Saturday morning. We will have a great time.  Then more excitement when both Lesley Wharton and I will be on Hochanda on the 1st May.  I think Lesley's first show is 8am and ours is at 10am, so we are preparing madly for that.  After that we are at the Happy Stampers show at Port Sunlight on 12th May - if you usually attend that one, we are in a different position this time around the corner from our usual spot as Chocolate Baroque and ourselves are sharing a big stand.  Do come and seek us out.

Well that is the current news and now I will have the pretty bits section starting with some gorgeous makes by Dora..

This features Blossoms CI-490, together with a lovely blossoms drawing by Dora, and the following features the very vintage typewriter from CI-455..

Pretty flowery cards by both Dora and Daniele are in the next photograph...

Lovely to see so many beautiful daffodils around everywhere at the moment too. CI-302
and CI-488 looking glorious in full colour here.

I have a couple of stunners by Sandra below.  The first using the other half of CI-488, and the church from CI-474 so cleverly combined...

And the second another beauty using CI-302 again, plus our Springtime background paper, butterflies from CI-437, and that useful postcard stamp from CI-477

My final very bold and beautiful makes are by lovely Coco.  Firstly a canvas with just a little stamping going on..

Secondly some mail art using CI-489 in a very different way..

And thirdly a sneaky peak of a project she has going in a French magazine soon - Oooops sorry had to remove that one and replace with the one below....  Again absolutely loving the colours though!...

Thanks for stopping by folks,

A GUEST ARTIST FOR APRIL AND MORE ....

We are delighted and excited to introduce to you our guest artist for April - drumroll please - it is Titbelsoeur - http://titbelsoeur.eklablog.com/
Here we have some of her lovely creative makes using Crafty Individuals rubber stamps, firstly we have two open book 'landscapes' featuring CI-474 and CI-460..

Plus a festive make in a similar fashion with CI-463 and others..

Followed by two lovely eclectic hangings - check out CI-404 and CI-455 and more ...

Plus a seaside themed card..

Finally my personal favourite, again with a seaside theme, and with the help of a sardine can...

Titbelsouer has kindly written a little tutorial about this project for us..
First cut out waves from the pages of a book with a cutting knife, and add blue watercolor paint with a brush to represent sky and sea, leaving some spaces for foam and clouds.
When all dry, glue all pages together and cut them out ready to insert in the can to represent the landscape. Stick it inside and to the back of the can.

The next step is to stamp the child, the lighthouse and birds on to a piece of cardstock, paint them and cut them out. Insert the lighthouse between 2 waves and stick the birds to the background sky.
Add some glue to the bottom and the edge of the can and sprinkle sand on it. Let it dry. Stick the child on the edge with hot glue.
Fill in a mini-bottle with sand and shells, close it and glue the can on it with hot glue. Also glue shells to the bottom of the can and the lid of the bottle.
Tie a string around the bottle, and you are done!
Stamps she has used include CI-459, CI-384 and more ..

Fantastic!

Last month we had Jannet, gillslap.blogspot.co.uk as our guest artist, and for some reason I didn't receive all the images of her lovely makes at the time.  There were two missed out, and they are real beauties and perfect for Easter, so I am inserting them below..

Jannet has used CI-467 in the second framed delight, and CI-372 and more in the first scene.

Superb!

NEW RUBBER FOR SPRING...

A quick post tonight from me to give you a heads up that the new rubber stamps that featured on Hochanda last week and were so popular, are now up on our website.  You will find them HERE.
We will be sending out the usual newsletter tomorrow, and they are on special intro offer at the moment.  You will see that we have also added some of the much sought after new embossing powders from Seth Apter, I am particularly loving the Vintage Beeswax, Rust and Vintage Oxide - exceptionally gorgeous!!

The new stamps are CI-490 Blossoms, CI-491 Orchids and CI-492 Pretty Florals...

They all repeat beautifully!

Here are some cards incorporating them..

With thanks to teamies Dora and Daniele for the above.  More samples to follow soon, and we do have a new guest artist for April with some fabulous makes to share, in my next post I should think, so do keep checking back.

Enjoy the new stuff!

Back soon,
Jean x
