THANKS AND SOME PICCIES...

Thanks for the comments on my last blog post.  Must take a photo of my old Singer Sewing Machine and pop it on here as suggested,  Also hope you get a bit more free time soon Coco, my friend!

I thought I would share a few of my recent journal pages on here, plus a lovely journal page from Daniele.  This is how it began for Daniele...

And this is how it ended up...

What a delight!

Here are my four pages, again featuring the latest stamps by the artist Sharron Bates....

I also made a little 'China Cupboard' using a little wooden tray (which had previously held craft embellishments), with one of Sharron's designs...

I demoed the process Live on our Facebook page.

In today's Live Demo I made this little card with a couple of our older stamps, a stencil and Distress Oxides....

Thanks for watching, and following,

OUR NEW STAMPS BY SHARRON BATES....

The fabulous brand new stamp designs by collage artist Sharron Bates are now available to purchase on our website.  You will find Sharron's Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/sharronbatesdesign/
and the new stamps at an initial discounted price here: https://www.craftyindividuals.co.uk/new-products

I compiled a step by step for Hochanda, using one of her new designs, and I thought I would share it here today....

Here is the finished design...

....and here is the materials list...

Crafty Individuals Rubber Stamps CI-328, ‘Sewing Notions’ and CI-545, ‘The Sewing Room’
Giotto Turbo Maxi Pens, or watercolours
Versafine Onyx Black Stamp Pad
Crafty Individuals A5 White Satin Stamping Card
7” Square White Card Blank
Ribbon and small coloured safety pin
Thread and Buttons

Step 1
Stamp CI-545 ‘The Sewing Room’ onto the CI White Satin Stamping Card in Versafine Onyx Black ink and dry thoroughly. Cut out the image ready to colour and sew.

Step 2
Using the Giotto Turbo Maxi Pens scribble a little of each of the appropriate chosen colours onto a glass mat or tile or plastic sheet, and pick up the colours in turn with a damp appropriate good quality paintbrush and colour the stamped image either as shown in the example pictured, or in colours as chosen by yourself.

Step 3
Use a sewing machine to sew a double stitched line around three edges of the coloured image in contrasting thread. Leave lots of loose threads showing.

Step 4
Stamp CI-328 ‘Sewing Notions’ onto the remaining half of the Satin Stamping Card, and fussy cut out your chosen vintage sewing items ready to colour and add to your card. I started with cutting out the vintage sewing ‘invoice’ and the ‘needle packet’ and coloured both to match my design.

Step 5
Colour the stamped ‘buttons’ image appropriately and sew a real small button or more to the image as shown leaving loose threads trailing.

Step 6
Colour the ‘darning’ thread image appropriately and wrap some real thread around ready to glue in place on the card.

Loved making this card.  Thanks for looking.
