Oooooops I FORGOT....

*Emailed entry from Alison Rock!

Oooops we are well into January, and I'm afraid I totally forgot to blog the latest Challenge details on the 1st of the month!  Days and dates seem to get mixed up at this festive time of the year for me, and I suddenly remembered today that we should have put the latest challenge topic on here by now.  So it's a little late, but here it is - the topic this month has been chosen by lovely Gio, and is great fun and perfect for crafty play - 'Laces, Buttons, Bits and Bobs'....

Here are the usual guidelines:

CHALLENGE GUIDELINES
To enter this month's Crafty Individuals Challenge please put together your chosen project, which must include at least one Crafty Individuals product please, then post your Challenge project on your Blog, before the end of the month, and include a link back to this Blog.  Leave a link in the URL box displayed in this post to take us directly to your Challenge project, which will then appear on this Blog as a thumbnail image - so we can all see your wonderful arty work.  If you don't have a blog we are happy to accept emailed image entries too.

At the end of the month Gio will set about choosing five lucky participants, each of whom will win a CI rubber stamp of their choice, and don't forget that as per usual, once you have linked in your creation, you can also claim a lovely 25% discount code to use on anything you purchase from the CI Website, which will be valid to use until the 10th of February.

Go for it, and enjoy the challenge x

....

As always we very much look forward to seeing your entries - you will be in with a chance of winning a free stamp, and you will also be able to obtain a cool 25% CI web discount.  When you have linked in your entry please email us at info@craftyindividuals.co.uk to obtain your special code, and then go shopping!

.....
My first inspirational makes this evening are by lovely Gio herself, beautifully decorated bottles, featuring lace and bits and bobs, with a step by step in pictures for you, followed by a couple of cards with buttons beautifully on display!

Gio has used the tags from CI-427 on the bottles, and the telephone and car chunky tags from CI-403 and CI-405 on her bright and cheery cards.

She has also made a lovely ladies bag....

.......with lots of laces, buttons and bits and bobs delectably incorporated on the front.  Stamps CI-414 and CI-323 looking gorgeous here!  If you also check out this link - http://giogioscrap.blogspot.co.uk/2015/12/a-festive-box-with-koala-on-top.html Gio shows you a festive box she made with CI products too.

Then I have another lovely card, by Daniele, to show you....

Daniele has used our lace stamp CI-350 and stamp CI-338 on her card, and a sheet of background paper from our 'Seville' book to make her card.

And finally tonight I have a very beautiful make by Lynne to display.....

Loving this beauty, featuring bits of CI-414 again, plus CI-017, amongst her 'laces, buttons, bits and bobs'.  In Lynne's own words here is the fantasy story behind the piece......
I used:-
CI-017, 307 and 414 (the bunting element) along with lace (including lacy edge of paper doily) buttons and various bits 'n' bobs to tell the story of this woman at a stage in her life where she is now finding herself reaching out to the past (the Relics and Artifacts hand), as she reminisces of times past and sifts through her treasures which she stores in her memory box:- scraps of fabric from a favourite dress, from her wedding day, a piece of lace and buttons from her wedding gown and a dried flower from her bouquet.  The stamped script and postal mark representing precious letters and the bunting is bunting I could imagine be draped around the dance hall where she met her future husband.

Fabulous - many thanks ladies.

Back soon with more inspiration.  Do join in with us on this challenge to pleasantly while away this rather dark month of January.

Thanks for the kind New Year wishes on my last post.  Hope you all have lots of fun and much crafty stuff going on in 2016!

Jean x
